Do you ONLY work on windshields?

Lakeshore Auto Glass repairs and replaces all types of vehicle glass, including side and back windows, truck sliding back-glass, and side mirror replacement. We also work on heavy equipment, semis, farm vehicles, and antique cars.

HOW LONG will it take to repair or replace my windshield?

Repair typically takes about 30 minutes. Replacement is usually 1 to 2.5 hours. The adhesives take one hour to cure to meet safety standards. We always schedule replacement to make it convenient for you. Our on-site mobile service adds even more convenience.

Should my windshield be REPAIRED or REPLACED?

It depends upon the size and location of the crack or chip. Lakeshore Auto Glass can recommend what should be done, whether it's repair or replacement.

Must I CALL MY INSURANCE agent before calling Lakeshore?

No, we can handle the insurance paperwork for you. Often, we set up a 3-way call with you, the insurance company and our customer service representative. Please have your policy number when you call.

Will my INSURANCE COVER damage glass on my vehicle?

It depends upon your comprehensive deductible. Insurance companies will sometimes waive the deductible if you have the glass repaired instead of replaced.

What CERTIFICATION do your installers have?

The installers at Lakeshore Auto Glass are trained and certified for fixed glass installation by Dow Automotive. We also follow the strict AGRSS safety standard as a guideline for all installations.

How do I know if the glass will be as GOOD AS NEW?

Your glass will be replaced according to the highest safety standards using glass and adhesives from the original equipment manufacturers and factory installation methods.
